service inconsistencies mar the experience

beautiful groundsundertrained staffmissing amenities
the hotel grounds are beautiful, a definite highlight.
I encountered several issues. the service at the bar was poor. My drink order was not understood and the staff seemed undertrained. furthermore, there were reserved tables despite being told bookings weren't possible (it felt misleading). the spa also lacked attention to detail. Dirty cups littered surfaces and basic amenities were missing.

Really good stay

convenient accessextensive selectionmanicured groundspool area
The train station nearby provided convenient access to Belfast. The spa included a pool and sauna. The breakfast buffet presented an extensive selection of choices. I found the manicured grounds a pleasure to walk through.
The service at the bar was a little slow when it got crowded. It would improve with more staff at peak times

Mixed Experience due to Service Issues

slow servicerushed breakfast
I did discover some issues that affected my stay. The service felt very slow. I did wait a long time for staff to acknowledge me when I needed something. Breakfast also felt rushed. They began clearing items well before the stated closing time of 10:30 am.
